The origins of the saree date back to around 2000 BC.
Over the years, the saree has evolved, adapting to different generations.
Originally, the saree was a long, unstitched piece of fabric draped around the body.

Today, it’s globally recognized as a symbol of cultural identity.
Highlighting the saree through women from South Asia is a way to celebrate the cultural richness, elegance, and diversity of this garment.

How is the saree perceived by woman today ?
For us, the saree has always been more than just a garment.
it’s an intimate connection to our roots, a reminder of the women who came before us.
This project is a way of honoring our history while affirming who we are today.
